A Look Back at 2017

2017 has taken its last few turns, and I’m sitting by my computer, coffee in hand, trying to condense the past year into a few hundred words. It’s been an incredible year, nonstop in so many ways.

I’ve spent much of my time bouncing from dental meetings to sifting through product listings in Excel to spending countless hours on the phone with customers, sellers, potential partner companies, and even state dental boards. My brother and co-founder Scott has spent much of the year traveling, flying to Boston and Omaha and Los Angeles, and even to Thailand. He’s spoken to dental schools, attended dental conferences, and met with customers across the map.

We haven’t been the only ones hard at work. Dan has singlehandedly kept website updates and feature rollouts humming along with hardly a hiccup. Kate has worked tirelessly to dramatically expand our product offerings- Supply Clinic now lists nearly 40,000 items, many sold by as many as a dozen of our 100 unique sellers. And Elizabeth, who joined the team in June, consistently goes above and beyond to keep our customers happier than ever.

Our efforts have truly transformed Supply Clinic. In the past year, we’ve listed dozens of new sellers, reached tens of thousands of dental professionals, and improved every aspect of our website, from signup to checkout. We’ve taken feedback from customers and sellers to refine our product. Shipping costs have halved, shipping times have dropped as well, and the user interface across our site has improved substantially. We’ve even implemented an automatic cart calculator to see if we can save customers even more on every purchase.

I've just returned to subzero(ish) Chicago to take on 2018. This coming year is shaping up to be even more transformative for Supply Clinic. We have 2 new team members joining the first week in January, helping to build out or web development and marketing abilities. We have several new advisors to be announced as well, deepening our reach in both the dental and e-commerce worlds.

We’ve got audacious product updates scheduled and new sellers lined up to further lower prices and add the last few product lines we not yet available on Supply Clinic. And, of course, you’ll be hearing plenty from us about our continued updates and improvements.
